Landlord builds a full size Spitfire replica from wood and fibreglass

THE skyÕs the limit for landlord Ken Easton after he built a life-size Spitfire in his garden which took about 3 months to build.
Incredibly Ken used a tiny Airfix kit as blueprint to construct his monstrous model plane.Ê
The publican, 55, made his Vickers Supermarine Spitfire MK IX entirely from wood and fibreglass.Ê
It now sits pride of place outside his boozer - the Selsey Arms in Coolham, West Sussex. During the Second World War, the nearby Coolham Airfield - now RAF Coolham - was used as an Advanced Landing Ground to support the D-Day landings.Ê

Pictured 16/7/20 is Ken Easton holding a pint of Spitfire with partner Belinda Grover and their dog Piper.
