The Daedalus Gate Guardian sculpture was designed by Nigel Searle, created by Peter Clutterbuck, Patrick Mannering and John Duffield, dedicated to the legend of Daedalus, the world's first innovator, has inspired men and women for centuries. Intended to inspire hope and achievement, as well as the joy of discovery, this sculpture represents Daedalus taking flight for the first time.
