Pictured today 30/10/17 is HMS Queen Elizabeth leaving her home port of Portsmouth, Hampshire for the first time since she arrived in August. The Royal Navy's new £3bn aircraft carrier was waved off by members of the public. She left port heading for a second series of sea trials, which will focus on mission systems, radars, communications, and electronics. All in preparation for flying trials next year. Portsmouth Harbour was closed for over two hours as six tugs were needed to manoeuvre the ship from the dock and out of the harbour. Pictured passing Portsmouth Naval Memorial which names around 25,000 sailors lost in the 1st and 2nd World Wars.
